Modern Rural Home, Ballymena, Northern Ireland
This house is set within the rural landscape outside of Broughshane. It sits within a wooded area stepping down into its landscape. It is a split level house consisting of living space on the first floor, with bedroom space on the lower ground floor and within the roof space. It has a compact plan that maximises its floor space while maintaining a modest and simple appearance. A covered car port and entrance area provides shelter and cover and is flanked by a natural stone wall emerging out of the hillside.
The rear of the house opens up to its hillside setting with a more heavily glazed aesthetic. Clad in dark natural stained cladding with a contrasting light natural timber board finish internally, this is a simple alternative to the small rural family home.
This house has received planning approval and is currently moving forward for construction.
